This was a short and powerful read. I had long wanted to read this book and I am glad I finally did. I found the hopelessness of the migrant workers very sad. Recommend.

I didn't have the opportunity to read this in high school (read Grapes of Wrath though, and loved it). This is a short, but amazing read. So much in such few pages. I wasn't ready for the end - that was horrible. ...more
