What Members Thought
While I find this one more readable and less oblique than some of le Carre's other work, ultimately, it takes far too long for it to actually become the spy novel it's supposed to be. As a result, the critique of the war on terror ends up getting smashed into the book's final section and doesn't get the more extensive airing it needs to make sense. Good in some ways, but something of a flop in others.
