My only experience with a book of this topic. I had to sort my feelings about this one. I loved the writing in places, but felt some of the conversations lost their weight. My personal reaction was that I was ticked off in places when I started to think DeLillo might not have understood that the events of 9/11 were a very broadly felt experience. Then the book would roll back around so that I didn't feel this way in the end.

Reading the book was like fighting my way through a thick fog trying to figure out what was going on. You would think a book about 9/11 would be suspensful and interesting but those are two things this book is definitely not.
