Unfortunately, a third murder sends the village to the edge of panic. Will Jury crack the case before more violence occurs? This was my first Martha Grimes mystery and I found it engrossing and clever.

I had forgotten how really good Martha Grimes' Richard Jury mysteries are. I thoroughly enjoyed re-reading this one for a book club. I love her plots, characters, and especially her writing which includes marvelous yet wickedly funny, understated humor. ...more
