I found this book sitting all by itself on a table at a library book sale. It was the last day of the sale and everything had been quite picked over except for this gem. Needless to say I grabbed it right away.

Thank goodness for the Mt. TBR Challenge which prompted me to read those books which have been on my shelves the longest. This being one.

This was the first Anya Seton book I've ever read. It was chosen to be a group read in one of my groups on here but I wasn't aware of it until after I had found a brand new copy sitting in Value Village. I was a little hesitant at reading the book since no one else wanted to read it in the group but I aboslutely loved it. It's one of my all time favourite books.
