What Members Thought
I'd loved this book when I read it in 1992---darkly humorous and very clever. Plus I was playing in a dart league at the time, so I got a big kick out of Keith Talent. But upon reading subsequent Amis books, I came to dislike how badly he treats his female characters, got sick of his cleverness, and became turned off by his books in general. I haven't reread this to see what I think of it now, so I'll trust that I would no longer find this a 5-star book.
