While I would have given this book 2 stars after reading the second part of this book, because it was just too disturbing, and I didn't like any of the characters, the last part was quite good.

Leave it to Auster to play with point of view, reliability of the narrator and the role of the reader in creating and believing a story to take this stuff of writing classes and turn it into a compelling drama that impacts on the most basic things that make us human and causes us to question our own beliefs and prejudices in the process.
