What Members Thought
A boy is sent to be a servant in a wealthy man’s house, because of a misdeed. As the years go by he becomes a great cook, and takes over all the household duties. There is little more to the plot than this, the master is ineffectual and the power becomes reversed, but it is the detail, the food descriptions and the well described setting that are the strengths of this book.
