More politics than I was interested in, but it was affirming - in a disturbed way - to see that other non-profits (besides the ones I have worked for) have egomaniacal administration and low employee morale as a result. The stories of the animals and their personalities were the highlight of this book. There was the obvious parallel drawn between the human alpha/zoo director and the various dominant zoo animals who vied for position with him, other staff and animals.
