I don't like scary books and this book has the subplot of a mass murderer with the kinds of gruesome details that give me bad dreams. I must honestly say that I raced through the scary parts as fast as I could and spent most of my time relishing the parts about the world's fair. The world's fair was a very cool idea. Do we still have these world's fairs?

Audio book. Loved learning about the Chicago World's Fair in 1893. These parts of the book deserve a second listen from me. There was also the second butterflied story of a mass murderer in Chicago at the same time. Also very intriguing, but it left some disturbing imagery in my mind. I liked how the two stories were woven together, even though the only commonality they had was happening in the same city at the same time, and the murderer perhaps taking advantage of the influx of people the fair
