Clever concept, funny and original. The author certainly set himself a challenge by the second half of the book. (did remind me a bit of "The Wonderful O")? And contains one of my father's favourite sayings!

Ella lives in the country of Nollop which is off the U.S. Coast where the inventor of the sentence "the quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog" is memorialized on a statue. When letters of the famous sentence begin falling off the statue the leaders of Nollop decide this is a sign those letters should no longer be used by the citizens of the country.
