Couldn't really get worked up about this book although kept going to the end. Might have been more interesting if the final act had involved Nathan as opposed to Delia but that might not have allowed the somewhat rushed ending. ...more

I could not stop reading this book. After a chapter ended, I had to go on to the next one. I just wanted to know more about the two women and their lives and their history. I think Sue Miller is a great writer and I love the new England location.

I loved this book. Timely in the face of more political affairs. I was reading it just as the Spitzer story broke. Sue Miller can really get inside a woman's experience. I think this is her best book to date. ...more
