This was a nice easy read. There were some things that didn't really make sense, but for some reason it didn't bug me as much it normally would. It was a sweet plot where a woman who grew up in foster homes has a special gift for arranging and understanding the language of flowers. Her passion for flowers lit a spark in her, that surely if she had never been introduced to them she wouldn't have a purpose in life. I would actually give it like a 3.5 if I could.

I like flowers and so I picked up this book without knowing much about it. It’s about a girl who grew up in and out of foster care and in state custody. She struggled growing up. The story alternates between her experiences as a 9-10 year old and as an 18-19 year old. She did have a hard life, but it stressed me out that she made everything worse by assuming the worst.
