What Members Thought

Every time I read one of Sarah Addison Allen's novels, I think they can't get any better---- and then they do! This one kept me reading until the wee hours of the morning because I just could not put it down. When I finished at about 3 A.M., I was still wanting to know what happened to the characters next! A great read!

This book has an intriguing storyline but at 180 pages, it was too short to fully develop the plot or characters. If you're just looking for a quick read or a filler book for in-between more serious literature, I'd recommend it. If you're looking for some deep thoughtful reading, you might want to skip it.

Willa Jackson returned to Walls of Waters after her father died. She now runs a sporting goods store and is trying to live down her past as the high school joker. Willa becomes involved with local socialite Paxton Osgood and her brother Colin. I thought this book was so much better written than The Girl Who Chased the Moon. Less magical realism junk and more characters you could relate to and root for.
