Powerful! Steinbeck's writing is masterful. I love how he alternates the chapters between the Joads' story and the experiences commonly shared among all migrant workers. The dialogue & descriptions are poetry. And the themes are so sadly real- especially the deep selfishness that led the proverbial 1% to merciless sink the rest into destitution.
