What Members Thought

This is a re-read. I've been reading Salinger's work, and I have to admit that I liked it better this time around, but not as much as I enjoyed his short stories. I think the difference is this: Holden Caulfield comes across as an immature whiney spoiled brat, and only children are worthy of his attention (all adults are phony); and his short stories are more mature, his writing flows more smoothly.
