What Members Thought

So many astute perspectives are packed into this book that at the end I felt like I had read at least 6. Doubling as a beautifully remembered memoir, this exploration of post-colonial Egypt, shifts in Middle Eastern identity, mid-century academia in Egypt, the UAE, England, and Europe, and the beginning of women's studies university programs has left me with a LOT to ponder. I'm fairly certain it will turn out to be transformative. Although in what way, I'm not yet sure. Highly recommended.
