I actually give it closer to 3.5 than 4, but 3 wouldn't be quite fair..
It's quite beautiful.. I definitely like Willingham as a graphic-story author, rather than straight prose -- not because his writing is poor in the slightest, but it just doesn't shine there.
This book is neat because of the concept, because of the various art styles and smattering of introductions to all manner of familiar fabled characters.
I did finish it quickly, but that's mostly because I was very reluctant to put it down ...more

In this out-of-series Fables volume, Snow White (as the Fabletown ambassador to the Arabian Fables) saves herself from death by Sultan by telling him highly entertaining stories -- a strategy she passes on to young Scheherazade. Snows' tales are origin stories for several of Fabletown citizen's including herself and her sister Rose Red, Frau Totenkinder, Prince Charming, and Flytrap.
