Greg Mortenson was mountain climbing when he got lost, found, then lost again until he tumbled into the village of Korphe in Karakoram Mountains (in Pakistan near border with China). This book is amazing! Greg seemed like an unlikely philanthropist, but because he is so nonjudgmental and willing to like like the people he is serving, he is the perfect one to help! I am very inspired by his experiences! I'd recommend this book highly!

Loved the concept behind the book. Will definitely use it in the classroom. The writing leaves something to be desired. The style of it often dragged me out of the story.
