I’m not sure how much more “me” you could get than a tiny novella about upper-middle or upper-class girls of “slender means” living in the May of Teck Club in war-time London. Imagine a group of odd girls all thrown together working in the war effort, sharing one breath-taking Schiaparelli evening gown while doing “brain work” for a publisher or teaching elocution!
