Very good story, but I had a hard time following the writer's words/description of events as they were happening (I found it to be confusing at times). Yet, I found the main characters memorable.

I dragged this book all over the UK and all the way to the USA before I actually decided to read it. It grabbed me in the beginnning, then halfway through I really didn't like Henry Smart at all and had decided that I was going to finish this book despite him and the by the end I couldn't tear my eyes off the page. Somehow he blossomed and became human and now I desperately want to read the next in the series. Great book, great writing. Sorry it took so long.
