I could not put this book down! This book is about Krakauer's ascent to Everest's summit in which he and his party ended up experiencing horrendous conditions causing a few of them to lose their lives. Krakauer does a great job documenting the different personalities of his party and the intense challenges they faced in their climb and (if they were lucky) their descent down the mountain.
