The copyright date on this book is 1892, but the story feels as fresh as yesterday. Funny. A little sad. And, most of all, insightful.

Very fresh story for something from the 1890s and still accessible to contemporary readers. Learned about Victorian games (Muggings, a card game, and Cutlets, a lap-sitting game), changing men's fashions (what was cool and what wasn't), and just how annoying teenagers were back then. A nice change from the usual depressing Victorian canon.
