ความทรงจำเกี่ยวกับหนังนั้นค่อนข้างเลือนลาง และเพราะตัวหนังดีอยู่แล้วจึงไม่ค่อยมีอะไรมากระตุ้นให้หยิบเล่มนี้ขึ้นมาอ่าน แต่พออ่านแล้วก็เป็นเล่มหนึงที่ดีเลยทีเดียว โดยตัวหนังสือแบ่งเป็น 3 ภาค คือช่วงอเล็กซ์และเพื่อนเที่ยวเล่น, ช่วงอยู่ในคุกก่อนที่จะเข้ารับการบำบัด และหลังจากถูกบำบัดแล้ว

ความรุนแรงในหนังสือค่อนข้างใช้ได้เลยทีเดียว มีประเด็นทั้งเรื่องการตั้งคำถามเกี่ยวกับจริยธรรมและทางเลือกของมนุษย์ รวมถึงเรื่องการเมือง โดยมองในมุมค่อนข้างเป็นเชิงเย้ยหยันและตั้งคำถามต่อสังคม การดำเนินเรื่องกระชับดี

การอ่านฉบับแปลไทยมีผลทำให้ไม่ค่อยรู้ลูกเล่นภาษาของต้นฉบับมากนัก (จุดนี้ทำให้อยากอ่านต้นฉบับอีกรอบ) แต่ก็ถือว่าแปลความออกมาได้ดี

ส่วนกับฉบับหนังนั้น จำไม่ได้มากนัก (เนื่องจากดูหนังก่อนมานานแล้ว) แต่ตอนจบให้ความรู้สึกค่อนข้างแตกต่างมาก โดยเฉพาะในหนังที่ทิ้งความรู้สึกไว้ค่อนข้างมากกว่าในหนังสือพอสมควร (รู้สึกตอนทำเป็นหนังนั้นเอามาจากฉบับอเมริกา และเหมือนมีปัญหาที่บทสุดท้ายของหนังสือไม่มี) และแอบรู้สึกว่าพวกธีมหนังหรือพวกเพลงอะไรแบบนี้น่าจะเหมาะกับ Kubrick มาก ...more

This is a crazy ride! When violence is everywhere and youths are doing unthinkable things without getting any consequences. What a scary world. The tension of the story was added by a new language created by the writer, a slang called "nadsat", made this book one of the most confusing, thrilling, and unforgettable read I've ever had. ...more
