It has been some years since I originally read King Solomon's Mines, but I was motivated to revisit the tale having read a late Haggard novel (When the World Shook) that I was less than impressed with. How convenient, then, that I found a radio dramatization of the book that I could enjoy over a few short hours rather than rereading the book in its entirety.
