I'm not sure what to write about this book.
The vast majority of the time I was reading it, I was annoyed.
Oh great, here's another 1000 pages describing the Goth circus....yippee
Every time I picked it up, I fell asleep! Seriously started to wonder if the "magic" of the book was not in its ability to put me straight to sleep, faster than a lullaby.

"The circus arrives without warning". Great first line: what circus arrives anywhere without bills sticking to telegraph poles and other forms of advertising? Wow! This was truly an enjoyable read. It is a magical, enchanted story of boy and girl — who grew to be man and woman — who from the very beginning were groomed to compete against each other in a mysterious match in which the circus was the venue. It is a very absorbing, hard-to-put-down book written in wonderful prose. I highly recommend it.

Adored this book. I want to live in this world forever. The Night Circus pushed the boundaries of my imagination.

Celia and Marco are attached to each other in a game when they are children. Once they become adults they must play out the game in a special circus, the circus of dreams. It took me awhile to get into this book but by the end I was totally in love with it. I want to become a memebr of Le Cirque des Reves. A great love story and a magical book.

I had to dnf this. It was a struggle to listen to and I just wasn't enjoying it. I'm disappointed because so many people loved it.

I was enchanted by this book.
I know there are many critiques out there saying that this book was dull and long. Nevertheless, I found it to be captivating and beautifully written. I was sucked in by the descriptions of the circus and the complexity of the plot. The characters were dreamy and beautiful.
