Accessible tales of a scientist's long-term studies of a baboon troop in Kenya. It's a mix of his experiences with the baboons and of his travels around Eastern Africa and encounters/relationships with the people. Although the author's experiences entail more than just baboons, this is a fascinating account of a scientist in the wilds of Kenya during the late 1970's. Deservedly earns a spot on the list of antroplogy related tomes.
