There were a lot of things I liked about this book: it's exotic location, it's multiple points of view, the weaving of several sub plots converging into one. However, it was the kind of meandering novel that is capable of losing its reader. It's not easy depicting the political and social landscape of a foreign place and Mistry does this expertly. ...more
