Henry James writes with reflective conscious. I have not read a style quite like his. I thought this book was rather long and took some time getting through due to this style. I would sometimes forget where I am due to the author's style of going through the conscious of the characters. This is a bit of a love story, a bit of character assessment and the decisions they make. ...more
