What I love about Borges is how he manages to intertwine mysticism, suspense and some riff on a philosophical or intellectual concept into his stories. What if the universe was just a huge, endless library? Or what if there existed a person who could remember every single detail of the past, down to how every droplet in a cloud moved on a specific day? I loved reading these stories - it felt like I was doing laps in a playground in his rich, creative mind.
