I've been a big crime fiction fan and when this was chosen by my reading group I expected to be onto a winner. However, I just didn't click with Rankin's style, got bored and couldn't get past 50-odd pages.

Some interesting plays with ironies here, as well as new challenges for Siobhan - an appealing entry in the series.
