What Members Thought

As usual Ishiguro's prose is impeccable but this one was hard and slow to read. The main character, a famous musician arrives in an undetermined European country to give a concert. What follows is a series of confusing events that happen to him as obstacles to his plans and with characters that are at times apathetic, depressing and cruel.
