It's hard to not give I, Claudius at least 4 stars because of how good the last 5+ chapters get. This is a heavy read, and for a large part of this book I really needed a family tree diagram drawn out to know who was who. It really was very difficult to keep track of relations, especially when people can have multiple names, nicknames, and even change their names, and to link them to the events going on in order as well.
