What Members Thought
Took about 100 pages for me to get interested. Writing is beautiful and translation seems to hold up to his mastery of descriptive writing. It’s just slow moving and I think the male characters are much better developed than the female characters. Or maybe I just wasn’t up for another book about subservient females in a society that views women as property.
