This is a very tough book for me to review since I don't feel like I have gotten the full experience of Proust's writing. After finishing the last page, I knew that this is a book to be read not only once but several times. There are many subtle references and connections I know I missed.

While the first section was very slow going, the later sections as the author looks at Swan's and his own romantic relationships led to some of the most fluid literature that Ive yet enjoyed. I'm looking forward to Book 2...

Once I read past the first section of Swann's Way, the book became more interesting, but at the end of the day, this was a very slow moving book.
