What Members Thought

Part romance, part ghost story, part mystery, complete with London and the English countryside. Lots of twists I didn't expect! And I have to admit, some laugh out loud moments. This is probably as much a satire of the English legal system (as it pertained to wills/estates) as much as it is anything else.

Over 1,000 pages long, Bleak House has had a negative impact on my annual GR reading goal. While not a perfect book, it will be added to my favorites list. I lost count while reading, but there are at least 40 characters (major and minor) in the book. Richard Carstone is one of the standout characters for me, capturing a type I've met but never seen captured so well in fiction.
