What Members Thought
This was a well-written book with an interesting and substantive plot, well-drawn and memorable characters and just about everything else you could want in a book. But the choppy chronology confused me and prevented me from getting too absorbed in the story.
I know several people, whose taste I greatly respect, who loved the book, and I can see why. It just left me rather cold, just like Old FILTH, himself!

The best! A terrific story with richly drawn characters that makes room for emotion without being too sentimental and treacly.
Thank you, cece, for recommending this book. It was a real treat.
Well-structured and realized account of a man who couldn't love because he wasn't loved. A heart-breaking tale told in the details.
