Loved it even more this time around.
What's not to love?
Jamie and Claire are still the hottest pair around, and Claire is definitely a kindred spirit even though I'd jump her husband in a moment if he weren't...you know...fictional. I especially love one scene where she teaches a bunch of Scots that old kids' jingle that goes, "Beans, beans, they're good for your heart...."
I love you, Jamie! But Claire, if you were real you'd be my BFF. ...more

My least favourite of the series so far - just seemed like too much dragging in the middle. But, Gabaldon ends the novel well. Can't wait for the next one.

I found this book less exciting than the earlier ones in the series. There wasn't much in the way of big events and no magical experiences at all. However, it was good to catch up with Jamie, Claire and family even if most of the book was just their day-to-day existence.
Same easy reading and compelling narrative nonetheless with a few clues as to where the next book might take the characters. ...more

The books are of course starting to get more and more far fetched but I keep liking them more than I think I will. The first two are still my favorite because Jamie and Claire are just more compelling than Roger and Brianna. However, I know I keep saying this but I do still want to keep finding out what happens next. These books are serving the perfect purpose for me right now when I want something fun and engaging that doesn't take a deep amount of concentration.

Awful. 50% longer than it should have been and filled with mind-numbing incident and no plot whatsoever. Sheer filler/soap opera. Far too many dei ex machinis and with Roger's surviving his hanging and Jamie's surviving his snakebite, at least one miracle too many.
I think three books should be plenty for any story arc and Fiery Cross is a case in point. ...more

These books are SO LONG. But I do really enjoy them. I just wish I could read them in shorter chunks.
