What Members Thought

Recommended for fans of Everything I Never Told You, another slow rambling book that others found deeply emotional, but I just hated.
Everything about this book annoyed me. The funny thing is, I didn't think it was bad, exactly; it's well-written, and different enough to be memorable. But I hated it, hated every moment of it ... hated every character, hated all the endless details, hated the rambling style, hated the Britishisms and constant mentions of Hailsham. This was a hate read for me.

I really liked this book. The writing style was beautiful, and the main character was just so interesting! I liked how the author more or less gets into Kathy's head and you see everything from her perspective. I loved how realistic the characters were, despite of what/who they were. It also brings up some very interesting issues in society, like why/if what they are doing in this book may ever be possible and acceptable.
