What Members Thought
A solid 3.75 read. Nicely written, beautifully so in many spots, but some parts were a bit slow for me. Would be fascinating for anyone wanting to visit Italy, or for someone really into cooking or revamping a home.
Whenever I can travel via the pages of a book I feel that the book is well-written. I've been to Tuscany & this book brought back all of my fond memories of a region that I'd love to return to. Her unique experience of living in a foreign country (which I can relate to) was underlined by her character development. In some respects it was reminiscent of the movie, The Money Pit, but it all worked out in the end. I would recommend this book to anyone traveling (or wanting to travel to) Italy ... I
