I was all set to rate this 4 stars until very close to the end.
I'm not sure exactly what happened -- perhaps my inability to finish it all at once (curse you, real life for cutting into my reading time) allowed me to guess both the murderer and motive before finishing when normally, I like to know one of those at most. Maybe it was (view spoiler). Ma ...more

I loved this book! It reminds me a lot of Stieg Larrson's 'Girl with the Dragon Tattoo' series because of its setting and its multi-layered plot, although it reads much faster than those novels. There is a something about it that hooks the reader and doesn't let go until the final page - and then you are left wanting to find out even more about what happens next with the main characters. An excellent mystery!
