I don't know which number in the series this one is, and it's the second I've read.
Agatha leaves her thatched English cottage to track down James, the man who left her, in Cyprus. He doesn't seem thrilled to see her, and in fact he spends much of their time yelling at her and she spends her time cowering.

Agatha Raisin is into her usual problems, stumbling into murder and desperately hoping that an attractive and attentive man will eventually come her way. James Lacey seems to be less than romantic hero material, but Agatha keeps hoping, keeping me laughing along the way. No big philosophical reveals here, just a mystery that is well constructed and a heroine that is endearingly flawed.

I can't help agreeing with some other reviews on here that Beaton's inclusion of all of her "research" got quite annoying and spoiled what could have been an otherwise enjoyable and amusing story.
