I got this set for R for Xmas so I could read them. I hate to admit to even kind of liking such formula writing. Take the Percy Jackson story, plug in Egyptian Gods and you can already figure out all that will happen. At least the main Characters were not quite as bad as Percy. But I think that R will enjoy reading these. And I at least enjoy knowing what he is reading. It is Dan Brown for pre-teens.
Carter and Sadie Kane are siblings who have lived apart since their mother died. Then their father takes them to the British Museum where he destroys the Rosetta Stone and Carter and Sadie discover they come from two royal Egyptian families. Their father has released five Egyptian gods including Set, who wants to create chaos and destroy the world. Now Sadie and Carter have to find a way to use their magic and stop Set.
