What Members Thought

Shackleton and his crews exploits are heroic and nearly miraculous, but the book ended abruptly as if the post-rescue had no meaning. After investing the time in developing concern for the crew, it would have been nice to have some follow-up on what happened to everyone after the heroic and horrific trials.

This is the incredible, true story of Shackleton and his crew’s voyage to Antarctica. I knew the basics of the history, but the detail made it came to life. It is amazing how cheerfully they withstood the difficulties. This is very well-written, with good pacing, so it kept my interest well. It was interesting to learn different strengths and weaknesses of Shackleton and his crew mates as well. 5 stars!
