The best parts were not the novel itself but the introduction and the part at the end where the author expanded on the historical facts and important people of the time.

I liked this book. It is a pretty good story and I learned a lot of history from it. I liked that the main characters are twins. Although it is sad at times. I did appreciate the historical note in the end to put it more into perspective. Great read.

TWINS Cleopatra Selene, her twin brother, Alexander, and their young brother Ptolemy suffer the loss of their parents, Cleopatra and Marc Antony, when Romans invade Egypt.

Another layer of history -- Cleopatra is such a legendary figure, but we never hear of her children. This book sheds light on another generation as well as Rome.
