This is a beautifully told story based on the lives of the Mirabal sisters in the Dominican Republic. Although it is a work of fiction three of the four Mirabal sisters were well-known in that country for fighting with a resistance movement to free the country from a cruel self-seeking dictator named Rafael Trujillo.
