A beautifully written story of a young woman in China who receives word that her husband, a military doctor, has been killed in Tibet. Refusing to believe that's true, she decides to go find him herself. I really enjoyed this one - it was so richly written. I loved reading about the customs and culture in Tibet.

What a lovely little book! I felt transported to Tibet in the last century and loved learning about the culture and lives of its people. What an astounding journey Wen went on, I feel honored to have gone along. My heart is happy that this book exists!
Such an incredible story. So easy to read and you can hear Shu Wen telling her story. Wish we could know the end of the story
