I've been reading all the Mary Stewart romantic suspense novels in the order in which they were published. I do this with a group here on Goodreads.
Right now I'm about half-way through the list and it seems her writing is undergoing changes over the years, maybe because of the need to be innovative and to satisfy publishing contract demands.
This book was set in a very different place: Lebanon. There were some references to the Qur'an and apparently one character studied to convert to Islam.
