What Members Thought
As a reader with no knowledge of the Mahabharat, this book worked nicely. It took awhile to figure out how everyone was related to everyone else, but the writing and characters were so delightful that I was willing to take the time to do so.
But ultimately, I couldn't rate it more than three stars because I'm not sure how well Panchaali worked as a character, particularly in regards to her (presumably) canon jealous and sharp-tongued qualities that were only told about in passing. It felt like D ...more
