Loved this story about hard, difficult, and fulfilling life up in the great Northwest of Alberta, Canada. A book that any TCK will be able to relate to, for sure. What's home? How does a wild & forbidding (at first) place become home? What happens to your perceptions & worldview when you return to where you came from before (that was "home")?

Serendipity.
I ran across a copy of Mrs. Mike at a library sale I browsed on my recent trip out west. I’d heard about Mrs. Mike years ago from a reader friend who was an enormous fan of the book, but I’d never run across the book. Until last week.
